WIP: New Year’s Shawl 2

Well I was hoping to get a lot more done on the shawl but I’m only 11 pattern rows in out of a minimum of 20.  Ugh.

I did bring it to the Buffalo Bills Game on Sunday.  I had to work the game (just in case the internet went out) so that meant being bored for quite a while.   It turns out hiding in a corner under a table is very uncomfortable for crocheting so I only got 1 pass done.

To make things more annoying, the Bills lost, again.

We’re still doing a giveaways just for liking our Farm Page https://www.facebook.com/DutchHollow

WIP: New Year’s Shawl

Work In Progress Wednesday!

I haven’t done one of these posts in a while but I have a project that I want to show you.  Mainly because if I force myself to take photos and share it I will be forced to finish it.

The Deadline… New Year’s Eve
The ProjectSmall Talk Shawl

My progress.

Look at that I’m off to a speedy start in just an hour.  This is going to be simple.

After an entire weekend of work on and off.  Uh oh, it’s slowing down really quick

Oh crap, close to 2 hrs of crochet and I can only get 1 pattern row done?  There’s no way I’m going to get this finished in time for New Years!  Must crochet on!  Damn you Lace!

WIP: Aqua Sparkles

Work in Progress Wednesday

I think every day is a WIP, heck I’m not convinced I ever am ever finished with anything.  It’s ok I like to be busy.

As I cleaned the house the other week I totally found this yarn in my stash.  It’s a merino/tencel blend I believe.  Shades of aqua and purple that I spun up with gold thread and some mini beads.   It was calling out to be made into something drappy so shawl it is!

I’m totally making up the pattern for the shawl so I’m going to have to write it down as I go.

WIP: Easter Baby Vest

Work in Progress Wednesday!

Well I haven’t posted here in a while but this week I’m actually working on a project after getting my groove back.  I’m making a little baby vest for a little girl named Lily for Easter.

I was smart and wrote down what I’ve been doing to make this vest so I’ll have the full pattern available come Fiber Arts Friday.   All that’s left for me to do is sew and find some buttons to finish it.

FYI!

Dear Lindsay,

Thank you so much for your recent gift of 100.00. Your support makes a huge difference in the lives of homeless and abused animals here in our community. I am extremely grateful that you have taken a moment from your busy life to help us care for the pets in need of a second chance.

It’s true that even during this slower time for animal admissions, upwards of 20 pets a day may be surrendered to Lollypop Farm. Pets like Waffles, a dachshund who was brought to us underweight and with heartworm disease. Gifts from you and many others enable us to continue to provide the costly care and medication animals like Waffles need until they are adopted into loving families.

Thank you again for helping us to continue to provide shelter and veterinary care for animals who have been surrendered or neglected by their owners. We promise to use your contribution wisely and continue to provide the tender, loving care that is our trademark.

Sincerely,

Alice L. Calabrese, CAWA
President and CEO
