FAF: Alpaca Fan Shawl DONE!

No more artistic renditions, this is the final alpaca fan shawl!  I still haven’t blocked it yet but you get the idea of what it’ll look like.  When blocked the mesh boarder will be more pronounced and the triangle fan pattern will be more even and noticeable.  I’m thinking of adding more fringe.  Right now I put them in every other mesh space.  I’m thinking I’d like more or would that be too much?  Thoughts?

I also retrieved the photo of what’s on my wheel right now.  Alpaca/Merino blend that I’m aiming for a 2ply DK weight when done.

Last but not least the huge granny triangle I started and finished this week on my lunch breaks.  I’m thinking I’m going to use it as a swimsuit wrap since the green matches my suit so nicely!

This is a light weight shawl perfect for spring and summer functions.  The fans and color pattern add that ‘pop’ to any outfit.  The long fringe adds a nice vertical contrast to the horizontal pattern.

Fiber Arts Friday: Back in the Groove

Welcome Back Fiber Arts Friday Followers!

I’ve finally gotten back into my fiber groove.  However it’s a bit all over the place but who cares, it’s all fiber.

Last weekend the weather STUNK so I stayed inside.  I’m actually thankful from the physical break of farm life and to sit on my couch and spin.  I actually managed to spin up 4 skeinsin all.  (1) Cat skein for my friend, (1) Golden Yellow and (2) natural beige. Sorry I don’t have photos of all of them.

If you’re curious about the Green Shawl…. It was on the hook ealier this week but recently I took it off and am working on blocking and fringe.
